Winter Woollies sales

Even though this morning’s weather was warmer, I was happy to sell a new beanie and cowl at Waikanae Community Market today.

These were a couple of my more ‘sombre’ colour ways; often my knitting is bright and bold!

My new online shop name and logo have been revised, to align with my current handknits as well as my Facebook page and Pinterest presence.

I first began knitting and selling under the name “Little Brother Big Brother”, as most of my knitwear was for or inspired by my grandsons. As they outgrew wanting to wear “Nanna Knits”, I incorporated that range with my generic “bronzart” offering, and for a while my online shop logo had both names.

Now that I’m mostly knitting women’s accessories – scarves, hats, tote bags – aligning them as “Quirky Knits” makes sense. I’m also introducing the generic descriptor “BronzCreative” as a prefix or sub-title to bring my various enterprises under one umbrella, so to speak.

Merged websites

Because I’m concentrating on fibre art and jewellery-making, my knitting has taken a backseat lately, and I’ve concluded it no longer needs a dedicated website. Fortunately, it’s easy enough to merge WordPress sites, so many of the pages from my little brother big brother website are now here on my showcase. It’s given me the chance to refresh some of the pages, and – although it’s a work in progress – keep the knitting pages up-to-date.

Since I’ve been doing more knitting and stitching for adults – especially women’s scarves, hats and purses – I’ve updated my kids’ knitting website to show off all my knitwear. I’ve modified my Instagram and Facebook pages to reflect the change and consolidate my knitted things, too.

So the website address is still littlebrotherbigbrother.com but the headline is now Quirky Knits for Colourful Kids (and Adults).
