Even when I try to follow the instructions, my garments are often brighter or quirkier or more idiosyncratic than most other handmade knits – the things I knitted for my grandsons were particularly bright and bold, as you can see at the bottom of the page.
Most of the things I knit are unique; I do sometimes follow a pattern, but as often as not, I’ll make it up as I go along.
