poetry

Some of my poems are included in “you who delight me” published in 2012.

From time to time, I’ll add a poem here.

Unlike my liturgical writing which is available for sharing under a Creative Commons licence, my poetry is copyright and you need my permission to reproduce it.

Here’s a sample of my older poetry:

venetian blinds

you could draw them if you had a pencil
vertical blinds vertiginous sights
never been to Venice but friends pull the curtains show their slides my projection
slatternly spectacle
horizons appear synoptically
one man and one woman and one venetian blind up the canal without a gondolier
can be upright or on the level not both
blind Venetians still have their merchandise
