at Nanna’s, being rascals

2016-11-18 021.JPGA word from Big Brother: we are staying at Nanna’s place at the moment. She’s busy knitting something but won’t tell us what it is. She says we take up so much time, and we’re not to mess with her wools like rascal little kittens! She’ll be back to show you some more photos soon.

Bye bye, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Baby Blue – baby’s blue cardi almost finished

Nanna just needs to add a button to this little rollneck acrylic cardi.

The colours aren’t too good; Nanna will try for some better photos when it’s ready to list for sale on her bronzart shop on felt.

Meanwhile, she’s working on a “Scorch the Dragon” hat in orange and green. It’s gonna be cool and a bit scary!

Nanna’s still knitting… turquoise cardi on sale now

Check out Big Brother modelling this cardigan. It’s too big for him, but he’s not bothered!

It’s turquoise blue wool, double-breasted, with cables and double row of flowery buttons. If you like, there are matching mittens- Big Brother wouldn’t wear them, though.

Here’s where you can go to buy the cardigan –  Nanna’s shop on Felt.co.nz, called “bronzart”: https://felt.co.nz/listing/308699/Turquoise-Blue-double-breasted-cardigan-plus-mittens

3 oranges

Nanna says she’s still working on 3 garments: the Jump for Joy jersey just needs its sleeves to be finished, the Asian Inspired jacket’s ready to be sewn up, and the Chunky knit-in-one-piece cardi is about one-third done. She says she’d be done by now if we’d left her in peace for just a couple of hours while she stayed with us! We thought she liked playing with us… feeding us, changing our clothes, taking us out while Mummy got some work done. By the time we were in bed, she says she was too tired to do anything but blob with her iPad and go to sleep early. She’s back at her place now, and can get on with her knitting (and gardening).

Yum! What is it?

Oranges & Limes? Avocado & Lettuce? Nanna’s got three projects on the go! Can you guess what she’s knitting now?

(No, neither can we. You’ll just have to keep an eye on her, like she keeps an eye on us. Specially when she’s knitting and we’re feeling like little rascal kittens…)

PS Nanna says the colours in the last 2 photos are really bad, coz it’s evening and the light’s not right.

Asian Inspiration

Nanna ran out of wool! She came to stay with us, and can’t get the wool she needs to finish the Jump for Joy jersey she’s been working on.

So she bought some different wool, and she’s started a cardigan. It’s one of her favourites; she knitted one for each of us, but we’re too big for them now.

Here’s a picture of the wool she’s using, the one she knitted for Big Brother, and pictures from the pattern of the “Asian inspired” jacket.

Artist: a story and song about our messy day

We’re making a zoo, a vehicle park, a farm, a noisy music space…

Nanna interviews Big Brother about creating a neighbourhood in the sitting room. “Artist” is Big Brother’s name for this video.

our Korean names for each other

Nanna says people who know us will notice she’s changed the names on her homepage. Instead of our real names, we sign off with the Korean words a younger and older brother call each other.

Now Nanna can put where she lives and how to contact her on this website, without worrying about bad people being able to find us. Also because when we’re older, we might be very embarrassed at having our photos and names all over the interwebs!image

If you want to know what Koreans call each other instead of using names, you can find out here. (Our dad is Korean and our mum is a Kiwi.)
